ABOUT US The Enjoy Learning Center offers one-on-one tutoring in math, reading, writing, science, and standardized tests, including the Alabama Graduation Exam and the ACT. We offer flexible scheduling, weekday and weekend hours, and reasonable rates. We're located in Executive Park, just 1 mile from Wal-Mart on the Eastern Boulevard. The Enjoy Learning Center, Inc. began in the early 1990’s as an informal tutoring hobby of the Director. On February 25, 2002, the Enjoy Learning Center became a formal business. Director Trevor Muhammad began tutoring two or three students each week in 2002. Soon, he hired one tutor and the business began to quickly.. The Enjoy Learning Center is still a private, locally run business owned by Mr. Muhammad. READING PROGRAM Our Master Reading/Writing Instructor is a veteran and master teacher who challenges and motivates students by making learning fun. She has approximately 35 years of teaching experience and still excites students about reading and writing. Let us help your child become a better reader and writer. Click here to learn about a success story. MATH PROGRAMFor nearly 20 years Director Muhammad has tutored and taught mathematics on various levels--elementary through college, formal and informal. Also, he is a member of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics. He has years of experience as a mathematics teacher. Presently, he teaches at a local university. The Enjoy Learning Center, Inc. has, with the help of God, a tremendous staff, and client referrals, grown quickly. We began serving 2 or 3 students per week in 2002. We have been blessed and have grown many times since then, but we try to keep our enrollment small to better serve our students.
The Director holds a current Alabama Teacher Certificate at the master’s level. He earned the Master of Education in Math degree from Alabama State University and a theoretical math degree (with honors) from Auburn University at Montgomery. Mr. Muhammad has been a member of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM), the Alabama Developmental Education Association (ALADE), and other organizations.
